Mental health at Work
The global economy loses about US$ 1 trillion per year in productivity due to depression and anxiety. (Source: WHO) Workplaces that promote mental health are more likely to reduce absenteeism, increase productivity, and benefit from associated economic gains. We need to bring mental well-being to our workplaces so that one can have an honest conversation about their mental health with their Managers or peers without being judged or pitied upon.
Student Mental Health
Mental health problems are as common among students as they are in the general population. Changes in internal and external factors during growing years can affect a student’s mental health. Due to a lack of guidance and support, mental health issues can have long-term consequences for students, affecting their future employment, earning potential, and overall health. We aim to prioritize mental health among all students and educational institutes.
Mental Health During Covid
Currently, an estimated 2.6 billion people in the world are under lockdown. People who are quarantined are very likely to develop a wide range of symptoms of psychological stress including low mood, insomnia, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, depression, and post-traumatic stress symptoms. While these feelings are completely normal because of the unprecedented circumstances we are in, it’s important to curb its impact on us both emotionally and physically.
