ABOUT US
Catalysing action and conversation around
Mental Health and Emotional Well-being
MISSION AND VISION
We are a non-profit community driven organisation creating education, awareness, and support for Mental Health and Emotional Well-being. We are catalysing awareness and action in spaces with limited or no dialogue around Mental Health.
It’s the need of the hour that we prioritise Mental Health on individual and community level and end any stigma attached to seeking support.
We want to reiterate to our community that there is hope, care and support.
This is your safe space to embrace your vulnerabilities, to begin your mental health journey, to inspire others, and to find and create HOPE.
FOUNDER'S NOTE
While 1 in 5 live with a mental illness, 5 in 5 have mental health. Mental and Emotional Well-being is a global concern – it is underserved and still a taboo topic in most settings.
Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in young adults. Depression is one of the leading causes of disability. Nearly two-thirds of people with a known mental health condition never seek professional support.
We need safe inclusive spaces where one can embrace their vulnerabilities and where we can learn from each others’ experiences. Seeking support when you need it can be your biggest strength and it needs to be encouraged more.
Creating awareness and support around mental health is a cause personal and dear to me. Kindness is at the core of what I’m building and it has only been possible due to the generous support of our incredible community.
With Speaking Grey, I aim to catalyse action and conversation around Mental Health – reminding people that they are not alone. There is hope and support.
