Your mental health matters to me

Speaking in Colors

We understand that due to stigma, discrimination and years of struggles, the LGBTQIA+ community is more likely to struggle with their mental health than others. It can be even more difficult to find a safe space and to seek support.
#speakingincolors is an initiative to amplify and celebrate voices and stories of the LGBTQIA+ community. We are committed to dedicate our platform to bring you the stories of pride and to create a safe inclusive place for everyone. We wish to highlight individuals, organisations, campaigns and movements who are creating resources and support services for the community. Got anything to share or want us to feature your work? Please share a message with us at speakingincolors
Echoing our mission, in 2020 Manvendra Singh Gohil (World’s first openly Gay Prince & a Human Rights Activist) joined us in supporting our cause.

Here’s a heart-warming video which celebrates beautiful & diverse lives.
We are also proud partners of Euphoria.lgbt who are building technology for the transgender community to alleviate the great pains associated with gender transition.

Our Mental Health Warriors help us to #breakthestigma around mental illness. Their journeys and lived experience create awareness and hope for others that recovery is possible. Mental health education matters

Student Mental Health

Mental health problems are as common among students as they are in the general population. Changes in internal and external factors during growing years can affect a student’s mental health. Due to a lack of guidance, resources and support, mental health issues can have long-term consequences for students, affecting their future employment, earning potential, and overall health. We aim to prioritize mental health among all students and educational institutes. We partner with individuals, organisations, and educational institutes to create awareness, resources and support for Students’ mental and emotional well-being.

Hello I'm in recovery

It’s Okay To Medicate

Just like any other health-related concern, sometimes medication is necessary to support our treatment and recovery journey. However, we still see a lot of stigma around medication for mental health conditions. This stigma not only prevents people from seeking treatment, but once they do, it also stops them from talking with their doctor about — or even considering — medication as a part of their treatment plan. The stigma also keeps people away from staying compliant with refilling and taking medication as prescribed. Speaking Grey and Prairie Health have collaborated to break the stigma around medication for mental health conditions and we invite our community to share their stories of #itsokaytomedicate. It’s not “weak” to take medicine to support your mental (or physical) health. Share your story here.
